Here are some tips for healthy skin.

1. Get enough sleep, at least 8 hours per night.
2. Make sure you drink enough water, at least 2 litres a day.
3. Try to have a healthy balanced diet that includes 5 portions of fruit and veg a day.
4. Stop smoking – Go to http://smokefree.nhs.uk/ for advice.
5. Always make sure you wear a high SPF, even on days that are cloudy and rainy. As the sun rays will still damages your skin. This goes for the palest skin tones to the darkest skin tones.
6. ALWAYS make sure you remove your makeup at night time before going to sleep.
7. Use a cleanser that is suitable for your skin type and cleanse with it once in the morning and once in the evening.
8. Exfoliate your skin 2-3 times a week to remove the dead skin cells, so your products can work on the new skin.
9. Moisturise your skin daily, even if you have oily skin. You can use a light-weight lotion or gel that will keep your skin in good condition. Never strip your skin, as this will make your sebaceous glands produce more sebum (oil).
10. Always use a separate eye cream as the skin around the eyes is the most delicate. An eye cream will also have the most positive results as it will have ingredients appropriate for the skin around the eyes.
